| And it's not likely soft valves if the new valves are having the same problem because the soft valves were taken off the market long ago. However, it could be a similar issue to the soft valve issue. The problem back then was that the valves were actually too hard (harder than the valves they were replaced with) and were bouncing off the head upon closure... the impact is what caused the wear pattern and ultimately the name. So I would suspect there is something causing your valve to impact the head too forcefully. What would cause that, I am not sure... I've never dissected a Z32 cylinder head before. Perhaps a spring issue or something misaligned.
